The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) has announced that they have shut down a multi-million dollar drug operation based in San Antonio, TX. The investigation has been going on for two years now and the agents involved speculated that millions of dollars of marijuana have been distributed to different states every month. There were allegedly 12 residents involved in the moving of marijuana and they have all been arrested now. On top of the many arrests, law enforcement has seized about 1 kilogram of cocaine, over 700 pounds of marijuana plus 800 marijuana plants and over $1 million in assets.

It has not been determined exactly how much has been distributed in this operation, but there is an estimation of about 1.6 thousand lbs. of marijuana every month. To put this in perspective, one lb. of marijuana is worth around $5,000.
